Destiny

My Destiny Journey

Do I believe in ‘Destiny”?

Yes, I do believe in destiny. But probably not in the way that you imagine I do.

Bear with me whilst I choose a little spiritual reference at this point:

Appreciating, as I do, that all of us have differing spiritual viewpoints, my opinion is that; I have my understanding of God, but I respect all other people’s point of view on who they understand their God to be.

A Timeless Tale Chapter Fourteen

Chapter Fourteen: Living a Life in the Kingdom of God – Continued

“One thing I’ve learned about relationships is that I tend to become more like the people I spend the most time with”.

Motivational speaker Jim Rohn famously said that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.

Considering the above statements by people who are generally promoting personal experience and scientific information, we need to accept that if we spend a lot of time with God, we will become like Him and be able to live a life of health, wealth, peace and power on this earth even as Jesus did.

I’m sure that your reaction to the above is: “Spending time with my fellow humans that I can see, touch and hear is straight forward, but what about God whom I can’t see, touch and hear”?

Good question.

Very fortunately, we cannot see, touch or mostly, hear God, because if we did, we would depart this life.

I say ‘mostly’ hear God, because as I mentioned in the previous chapter whilst we will, for the most part, not audibly hear God, He has ways of communicating with us that enable to ‘hear’ what He says.

We will be able to understand the signs that God shows us along the walk of His destiny for our lives as well as ‘hear’ what He tells us, providing we are accustomed to communicating with Him.

Those souls who are born deaf or blind go through training to be able communicate with others. The deaf train to read hand signs that others use in order to ‘say’ words to them. The blind are trained to feel letters in Braille so that they can communicate by touch.

So it is between God and us, we hear supernatural words and see supernatural signs, that only He can interpret to us.

As I mentioned in the previous chapter, the process of communicating with God, is very simple in principle. But at first sight to us, it is impossibly difficult.

Why is this?

Because we need to be trained in what we might refer to as ‘uncommon’ methods of communication, if we want to be able to, as Jesus said, do what The Father shows us and say what The Father says to us.

“God is a spirit and can only be worshiped in spirit and truth”.  If we exchange the word ‘worship’ with ‘communicated with’ we will now more easily begin to understand what is required of us.

My translation: ‘God is a spirit and therefore you can only communicate with Him through your spirit and this must be done in all straight forwardness and sincerity’.

In a previous chapter I explained that we humans are made up of body, soul and spirit. We all understand what body means. Soul is your intellect, emotion and will. Spirit is that part of your being that allows you to communicate with the spirit world, much like your service provider for internet connection.

In chapter Thirteen I gave you a seven point process to follow and one really can’t improve on that.

If you follow this process, in faith and consistency, you will slowly but surely begin to experience two-way communication with God.

Finally, remember the scripture I quoted to you previously:” Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.”

We will continue in the next chapter.

I pray that you receive touchable spiritual upliftment from these words and the way of expressing your gratitude to God in return is to share them with others. You do so by simply mailing this link to them.

God’s Franchise

A franchise is a type of license that a party (franchisee) acquires to allow them to have access to a business’s (the franchiser) proprietary knowledge, processes and trademarks in order to allow the party to sell a product or provide a service under the business’s name.

The Kingdom of God is that area where God does things according to His ways. Jesus told us that the Kingdom of God is within us and therefore among us. It is made up of Godly principles of which, the more we obey, the more we will be blessed (Ps.1:1-6) and the more we will walk in His authority here on earth. The Kingdom of Heaven on the other hand, is that place we will spend eternity in once we leave this earth.

Our Pillar of Salt

Our Pillar of Salt

From the time of the Garden of Eden, mankind has continued to inherit a sinful nature. Scripture shows us in Genesis 1:26 that ADAM was created in the ‘image and likeness’ of God. Genesis 5:3 goes on to show us that Adam had a son in his (Adam’s) image and likeness. We descend from the lineage of Adam.

The sinful nature passed down from Adam to us today (and the one which we continue to procreate), can be likened to a car engine which drives a car in a certain way. Despite modifications being made to the engine, the car still moves the same way. The only way to drive that car differently would be to replace the engine completely.

It is little wonder then that mankind has survived for centuries but the world is no better morally than it was from the time of fallen Adam. Irrespective of culture, race or government, the nature of mankind continues to seek its own desires, not caring what others think or feel. Human (Adam) nature drives mankind in its quest for success.

A Timeless Tale – Chapter Thirteen

Chapter Thirteen: Living a Life in the Kingdom of God – Continued

“Out of the Fountain of Life flow all knowledge, wisdom and all the bearing of divine fruit”. sirpeterjamesdotcom.

In the previous chapter, we discussed the fact that, the walk with Our Father in Heaven is a matter of taking instruction from Father, observing how He does things and THEN, the most important part – applying what we have heard and seen.

 Moses and the Red Sea

And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward:

But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

How often do we see ourselves on what seems like a roller coaster ride in our walk with God in this life?

One moment, we are singing the praises of our God and next we are in a state of depression over our circumstances.

Our prayers seem to consist of always crying out to Our Father to release us from one situation or another. We are always petioning Him for money to extricate us from our financial plight, extrication from our family problems, our employment, social and political issues; the list is endless.

The Blood of Christ

The Blood of Christ

I would like to tell you of two stories that I have been told by others.

They are folklore and as such, will require your faith to accept whether they are real or not. Typical of anything that requires faith, they are not able to be proved.

God’s Love for His Child

GraceofGodMinistry

A testimony of DADDY’s love and grace towards His daughter (it is truly not about me)…

Some time ago I met a lady in the church who had her Bible open on her lap… upside down! I realized Natasha cannot READ! And she was 24 years of age! To spend some time with her and to get to know her better I asked her to come help me wash my windows. I found that this lady has such an amazing vocabulary but she cannot read OR write! She has FAS… Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs) are a group of conditions that can occur in a person whose mother drank alcohol during pregnancy. She was bright yet no-one took the time with her as she was somewhat disabled. I felt such compassion for her! I had a sense of urgency/a passion/a drive/a Divine unction to help this woman! I could not bear the thought of her going through life not being able to read OR write! Continue reading “God’s Love for His Child”
